Reflection of detention

For the majority of people outside of the circle of immigrants, the detention crisis might be such a horrible thing that greatly affects people's lives. However, we can barely imagine that for the vast number of immigrants coming from Mexico or Latin America, detention has already become part of their lives. This practice is so cruel that it separates families and limits the personal freedom of immigrants. During the late 20th century, the United States has ended this practice for a quarter-century due to its cruelty. However, the Trump administration has promised us to increase the practice of detention and said that our country does not need these "infests" rushing inside. We believe that humanitarian concerns are borderless and not related to a person's nationality. Though immigrants may harm the economic interests of the domestic population of the US, it is not the reason for us to restrict their human rights and keep them inside of detention camps. These immigrants are just like us, who are on their way of pursuing better lives and no matter we accept them or not, we should treat them like human beings.
