To Dr. Canady

June 30, 1949
To Dr. Canady:

I hope you will be pleased to hear that I am staying in the South after all. In fact, thanks to the kindness of my grandmother's recently passed friend, Miss Em, I will be opening "Miss Em's Clinic and Nursery School for Blacks."

I would greatly appreciate if you'd come visit the clinic before it opens. Or even better yet, perhaps, if you'd stay to help. After all, I'd hate to let those girls down.

Regards,
Pinky Johnson
