Growing up, I’ve always had to follow strict rules. Although I did not love your father, I married him because your grandpa approved of him. When you told me that you were gay, I knew it was considered unacceptable under traditional values, and so I didn’t give you my support. But when you stood up at the wedding and encouraged me to be with Yu, I realized that you support me even though I want to be with a much younger man.
