The ease at which the Roosevelt administration forced removal of Japanese Americans is troubling. The way they disregarded the constitution and gained support from the large majority of Americans is grotesque. The is especially true when Asian Americans during that time period showed high trends of assimilation. From their clothes to their religion, the Asian American community wanted to achieve acceptance from the government. When the government refused to see them as Americans, they also refused other minority groups from attempting the same thing. The internment camps were wicked in their intentions and deeds. It is astounding that the Korematsu v. U.S case was never properly overruled by the Supreme Court.
